I would like to check to see if UKC has a DNA profile on hand already for UKC # J668,369

I had a litter born out of him on Christmas day and need to know if he is profiled with UKC, so I will know whether I can Performance the litter or not.

Yes. Frozen semen was used. I don't have the date right in front of me that he was collected, but it was in 1992.

Thank you for the information. The litter I am registering out of him was born on Christmas day. Is there a timeline for me to get the sire in the Performance Program? Do I need to send the paperwork and money before January 1st? It will have to be for the 2016 year as the litter was born in 2016.

The Sire nomination application would have to have been postmarked not later than December 31st otherwise it is too late to make this dog a 2016 Performance Sire.

Would have been nice to have gotten a reply before it was too late. If I would have known that or found it somewhere on the UKC website, I would have definitely sent it before January 1st. I sent $100 to performance sire another dog I have and could have very easily sent this with it at the same time.

I spent two hours on December 30th looking on the UKC website trying to find something related to the rules and regulations of the Performance program and found nothing. I also looked to see if I could process a performance nomination online through the website but found you cannot do that either.

It is my opinion that UKC dropped the ball on this. At least make it where you can Performance a sire online. This is 2017, not 1980 were living in.

You can do Sire nominations on line. It also states all of the rules of the Performance Program on our website. Our phones were also operational all day this past Friday, the 30th.

Please show me where you can find this information on your website because I sure couldn't find it.

I also do not believe in calling UKC as I get all my answers through the registration forum. I have better things to do with my time than spend it waiting on a UKC representative to take me off of hold and answer my questions.

Russell, why didn't you tell me before January 3rd that I needed to have the Performance Nomination postmarked before the new year? I clearly stated my intent of Performancing the litter in my original post made on the 29th of December which was four days after this litter was born.

Surely you can understand my reluctance to Performance a sire of a frozen semen litter before the litter was born? It's just not good business to do that. By the way, only one pup was born from this litter so I wasn't 100% sure she was going to whelp until I saw the pup on Christmas morning.

If someone from UKC wants to private message me to make this wrong a right, I'd greatly appreciate it. Like I said earlier, I searched your website trying to find where I could Performance the sire online and for the rules, regulations and deadlines. I couldn't find it and I finally gave up in frustration figuring I would get a timely response from UKC on the registration forum before it was too late to take action.

I went back and tried looking for the online version of the Performance Program and found it under field operations after going to the Coonhounds pull down tab. When clicking the link on the right hand side of the UKC website that says "Performance Program" I am taken to the list of UKC Performance Sires. What I didn't see that was very well hidden was the link that says apply online. My impression and the reason I didn't see that link was I thought it was merely a list of Performance Sires.

I really hate that I didn't see that link and sure wish it would have been a little easier to see. If I cant Performance this pup, I really don't see a need to register him with UKC. There just isn't any incentive for me to register him without being UKC Performance.
