Picked up the Future last night. And he needs a name....

I just want to thank Joe Newlin again for making this possible for me. Most people who know me here, know I really like what Joe is featuring down there in Hoosier Land. I have been saying for a little while now that I will be getting some more of his stuff in my kennels. Now I have it.

I don't have a name for him yet, but I am trying to think of something because I sure don't have a clue what to name him, and hey pup isn't working.

He is a pretty nice acting pup, I live 180 Miles from Joe and the pup made the entire trip home last night without so much as peep. I don't know that he had ever been in the box before. In the Kennel, he is quiet as a church mouse.

I normally think, wow, people need help with names for a dog...but, I am in that spot now. If you guys have any suggestions, fire away.

Here are a few pictures.

For some reason, he didn't like showing the "good side", I only got left side shots of him.

I thought you might've been getting a pup from Joe. Congrats and best of luck with him! I couldn't begin to help you with a name though. How about Stylish Rock River Rat? I'm not good at this though. That sounded like a name that's already taken. I'd call him "Rock" though.

LOL, good one Briar. I always make the collars big on pups, it makes catching them easier if they are a little slippery.

I would call him "hey dog" until he earns the right to even use up a name!

Seriously, this is a good cross.....

Give him some time...he will name himself. Chris Casper over in Ohio has one of these pups and he's a TREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE dog!

Funny thing...

Three crosses of Clover and everyone wants to name him Rat Attack....

Course if he turns out...we can say it is because he is "X" bred, and if he doesn't we can blame it on the other "X"

I give my dogs human names a lot of the time. With the exception of Puddles, the little old mixed breed who used to leave puddles around the house when he was young.

I usually add the dog's call name into the registered name, or the call name has something to do with the registered.

Since you'll probably come up with a call name on your own for the dog, I'll post just a few ideas I had and leave a spot open for whatever you call him.

Good luck with him!

Clover's Stylish _______
Joker's Rock River _______
Powder's Jokin' _______

and now I have a block, but if I come up with some more later, I'll post them.....
