AT STUD: AKC CSG CWC UKC GRWCH GRFCH GRCH 'PR' Scarberry's Midnight Diesel HTX

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST. THANK YOU!

Diesel is United Kennel Club (UKC), Professional Kennel Club (PKC), and American Kennel Club (AKC) registered. He is DNA-VIP in UKC with the UC Davis lab and also DNA profiled in PKC and AKC with Geneseek. Diesel was born on December 30, 2014.

We bred Diesel's litter, and he is everything we have ever wanted in a pup by Shaker. He has an awesome personality, brains, willingness to please, heart, drive, and just overall natural ability in everything he does. In the woods, he is bawl on track, with a bawl locate, and steady chop on tree. He is an on the wood type tree dog who checks himself and stays out of trouble. At home, you would never know he is on the place until feeding time. Diesel is just an all-around great hound that is a part of our family - the same as his daddy had been since March 11, 2012 until his death on November 25, 2018 at 11 years old.

With AKC, Diesel is a Supreme Grand Show Champion (CSG) and a Water Champion (CWC). He currently has 2 wins toward Grand Water Champion (CGW) in AKC. With UKC, Diesel is a Grand Water Champion (GRWCH), Grand Field Champion (GRFCH), Grand Show Champion (GRCH), and he has completed his HTX also. He has only been competition hunted a few times - just no luck.

Diesel's first litter was born on December 3, 2017. Diesel's second litter was born on August 29, 2019. Diesel's third litter was born on July 1, 2020. We like what we are seeing and hearing out of his pups! The pups are smart, with the same great personality and willingness to please as their sire. They have shown natural instinct and ability towards scent drags and cage coons. The two older litters were going with the old dogs before their first birthday. His first son, whom we kept and raised, has already completed his UKC Grand Water Champion title (starting at 7 months old).

Diesel is available at stud by private treaty. A negative Brucellosis test is required within 90 days of breeding.

On June 29, Diesel bred a gorgeous female by GRNITECH GRCH 'PR' Hicks' Two Time Albert II, out of a GRWCH GRFCH GRCH titled Northern Rex granddaughter. Now we wait to see if she takes. More will be posted once pregnancy is confirmed.

X-ray confirmation was done on August 21. She took, and she is expecting 7-8 pups! Pups are due September 1. Located in Laurel, Delaware. Stay tuned...

Planned Cross: Diesel x Ruby

We are planning to make this homegrown cross this spring. Ruby is due in heat anytime, so we should have pups by mid June. We breed first and foremost for ourselves, but we can't keep the whole litter. We have already had some interest in females from this cross, but only a couple have said they would like a male. Please let us know if you would be interested in a pup.

Pups will be UKC and AKC registered. The litter will be permanently nominated for the Performance Program. PKC registration is possible if enough interest. Price will be $400.

Diesel x Ruby

First mating took place April 24. Second mating took place April 29. Third mating took place April 30. This has been a weird cycle! So pups would possibly be due anytime from June 26-July 2.

Diesel's Pups

We have been asked, "how many pups does Diesel have?"

The answer is 16. He has produced 17, but one was lost at birth.

Litter #1: Born December 3, 2017 - 1 male, 2 females (a 3rd female was lost at birth)

Litter #2: Born August 29, 2019 - 6 males, 1 female

Litter #3: Born July 1, 2020 - 4 males, 2 females

Total Males: 11
Total Females: 5 (plus 1 deceased)

Diesel turned 8 years old yesterday, December 30, 2022.

Due to his age and the lack of interest in breeding to him, we did not nominate him as a 2023 Performance Sire.
