The Coolest Thing I Saw in the Final 4...........

was Chad Manns finding Rodeo's coon early on then Engle finding Dirty's coon later!!

This does not happen nearly as often now-a-days as it should!

Dont get me wrong, I am all about winning - in life - and at coon hunts - but there is a RIGHT way to do it!

That is just proper raising IMO!

Hats off to both you gentlemen.

Its crazy how it is kinda opposite than you would think, in my experience, in most situations.

At the small local hunts with your "buddy's" there is nooooo sportsmanship. And at the really really big hunts is where I have seen the best sportsmanship.

I agree. When you get down to that Final 20, there's a kind of comraderie that develops. Everybody is just happy to be there together and seem to be more honest than you see at a local hunt. Not always, but in a lot cases.

Most people can’t take that loss ! You ever heard that old saying about a dog carries a heavy burden trying to tote its owners ego ! If your dog does it’s job it should be rewarded !

Chad and Scott

Excellent show of Sportsmanship by both handlers. It was very fitting that their two dogs were First and Second in the HUNT, either dog could have won, both dogs and both handlers deserve all the respect you can give, they EARNED IT. Dave

So do you suppose that once it all gets sifted out down to the final say 2-4 casts on these world hunts that the best dogs are often on the end of leads held by the best men/women?

What’s that old saying.........the cream always rises to the top?

This is the way it is supposed to be!!!

And, I remember a time when this was pretty much the norm.

We need more of this. Not just in coonhunting, but in all aspects of life.

Obviously you haven't been to eastern IA in awhile where it's the norm.

Congrats on your Drifter pups.
