Boss Patriot Light

Boss Patriot

We have made several changes to our Boss hotspot and would like to introduce you to the Boss Patriot. The control switch has been moved to the head. This seems to me the most comfortable position for most people along with the fact that in the winter if you wear a hoodie, the switch is easy to get to. We have also increased the brightness of the Walk Light by adding two walk lights and have adjusted the spot on the Main Beam to what we feel gives you the perfect balance between a tight spot and a wide angle spot.

We have reduced the weight down to having a Bump Cap light that weighs 22 ounces that is balanced to wear with comfort. We use what we sell and many other lights out there talk about being light weight. The accomplished that by removing batteries and running only two. We don't feel that gives the user enough burn time and we have three top quality batteries on every light.

The Main Beam comes with two choices. Warm White which is a dedomed LED that penentrates further into the darkness and has a tint which I feel allows you to see the image of the coon if it is in the fork of a tree or not looking and you need to see its fur. The Cool White Main beam appears to be a brighter white color, expecially when shined at short distances on a wall. Out in the woods it washes out at distances and in my opinon even though impressive at short distances does not stack up against the dedomed Warm White LED. Also you have a bright white walk light so why have two of the same colored beams.

The Colored LED that helps you find the coons eyes, comes in Red. We have two Red lights on the bottom to add to the brightness.

We travel to many major Coonhound Events around the Country every year and at each event people are comparing lights every night to see which one is brighter and shines further. The Boss Hotspot Elite stacks up against any of them and leaves many people wondering why they purchased a competitors light.

.

Checked the burn time today 5 1/2 hours and still bright enough to get out of the woods. This light does not shutdown when battery runs low. It dims and warns you that you need to head in.

Lights I checked it against went 3 hours and 10 minutes and shut off.

If burn time means something with brightness to spare. Check out our light.

Unfortunately Kenny there are several marketing strategies being used to make lights seem to be more than what they are. And they work as marketing is what makes the world go round. I have checked out every aspect of most lights from what is in the battery box to the light in the tree.

I know what I need. That is burn time. The Patriot has that. A bright dedomed led. The Patriot has that. Then it starts to move to the red LED. The Patroit has that just like most of our lights have for many years. There is some confusion with the red. The owners are more interested in seeing the red and wanting it bright. Than having the coon look at a slightly dimer red light and seeing the coons eye.

It is all about marketing. Just ask your self this. Guys market their light as weighing say 21-24 ounces. Then they added a module for a colored LED. Then they added another one. Then they added a Laser. Then claim the light weighs less. Just doesn't happen. They can't be removing a battery as they only had two to start with. The Boss Patriot has 3 top quality batteries and the same weight as others if not less.

Just Thankful I team'ed up with Kevin to bring the coon hunters a light to be proud of. I am thankful that we have been selling this light for years with all the bells and whistles that other light builders are now using. Just makes an old man like me feel good that ideas kicked around in hotels while at hunts and over the phone with Kevin. Has set the standard in lights for the coonhunters. Even if the others market their lights better. The coonhunters win. That is what's important to me.

Nice looking light.
Can this light be easily switched from bump cap to soft cap by user?
Thank you.
