400 mg/day for 30 days or four 100 mg pills/day or 1 pill every 4-6 hrs. You have to take your dog to a vet to get them tested for tick disease or to get a scrip for the doxy. Ask them.

Ahh, I don't think so on that dose depending on dogs weight that is pretty high.
You use to be able to get Doxy on E-bay. Vets over charge for them.
If they have symptoms you got to go at least 28 days

Lyme disease
Oral
4.5 mg/lb once daily for 21 to 28 days
I had a 55 lb dog thru vet that got one 250 mg once daily
so at that rate 250 was the correct dosage
4.5 x 55 lb = 250 mg dose

OR another formula still comes out the same
10mg per/kg once per day stills comes out to same dosage

Say you have a 60 lb dog
there is 2.2 lb in a kg
60 lb divided by 2.2 =27.27 X 10 =272 mg (275 mg) once per day
I did this to get the correct dosage under kg/mg

Yes, that is a pretty high dose but it works. That is why I give it 4 x day. My dogs are around 65 lbs. And I can't find anywhere to buy it on the internet without a prescription anymore.
