Hello All!

I am posting directions to our club, and we hope that some of you will be able to make it out to our first hunt, which is going to be held April 2nd! DEADLINE IS 8:00 P.M. FOR A 2 HR NITE HUNT!

If you are in Northwest Missouri or Southwest IA:

Take I-29 to US 71 N
Take HWY 71 to the HWY 48 Junction at Rosendale
Go approx 16.7 mi to US 169
Go approx .4 mi and turn R on Pine St

If you are in Southwest Missouri:

Take I-435 N to Kansas City
Merge onto I-35 N via exit 52B (Des Moines)
Go 41.5mi to exit 54 US-36 (Cameron/Hamilton exit)
Turn L onto I-35N/US-36W
Continue to follow 36W
Go 18.8mi and turn R onto MO-31
Turn R onto MO-31 and go 10.4 mi
Turn L to stay on MO-31 (0.8 mi past MO-V)
MO-31 becomes US-169
Go 4.6mi and turn L on Pine St


If you are in the St. Louis area:
Start out on I-70W/US-40W via the exit on the left (KC exit)
Go 81.4mi and take the US-63 exit 128A (Jefferson City/Moberly)
Take the ramp toward PP-Moberly
Merge onto US-63N and go 58.5mi
Merge onto US-36W via ramp on L
Go 114.3 mi and turn R onto MO-31
Go 10.4mi and turn L to stay on MO-31
After 6.1 mi MO-31 becomes US-169
Go another 4.6mi and turn L on Pine St

I attended the Missouri Senate Committee hearing on SB#113 (repeal some forms of the Puppy Mill Cruelty Prevention Act in Prop B) yesterday and was encouraged to see an over flow crowd. The hearing room was jam packed and spilled out into the hallway and a video feed was provided in the hall. I'm guessing the crowd was split 50/50.
They allowed people to speak one at a time for two hours.

SB#113 along with 7 other bills in the Missouri Legislature attempting to repeal the PMCPA face a tough challenge. The people who backed Prop B have spent a lot of money getting it passed and are poised to defend it.

Chris Frieberger (Wormy) will be the President and Harry Harris will be the first Vice President of the State Association for 2011.

It was voted on to give some Owens dog boxes away for prizes this year. I believe they are going to have three to give away along with the jackets, trophies, show benches, dog food. lights, and whatever else they come up with. Looks like 2011 might just be the best year yet. Show your support and help where you can and I'm sure that it will be.

Congrats to Wormy and Harry and good luck in 2011.

Depressing ..... got 2" last night on top of the 9" earlier this week. Tired of the same old forecast, I think I will enter a Florida zip code and change things a bit.
Got hunts all around me but I don't think they will happen. Anybody going?

Hunts can not be canceled for any reason unless thy do it in enough time to advertise it in the book. People may not show up. they hunted 5 dogs at St. Louis Co last night and scored on 3 coons..


Harry Harris and I with weather permitting will be attending Mussel Fork CHA (Keyetesville Mo) annual meeting next Sat to give a presentation on the State Coonhunters Assn. If anyone else would like info on our assn please let us know. We are going the extra step to get more clubs affilated to our great asn. If we can help dont hesatate to give one of us a call.

Currently all the bills in the Missouri House pertaining to repealing different aspects of Prop B have concluded the public hearing phase and will now be debated on the House floor in full session.
E-mails from State Coon Hunters and Missouri Federation have been sent acknowledging our support to the proper congress person.
