Who can activate my account. I like the website and I am a member of the Black and Tan Association, but every time I have tried to log in I get a message that my account has not been activated. I should contact the admin?????? This has been giong on for some time now. Please advise and thanks,

Sorry for the problems.

I was recently asked to take care of the website. In the transition, a bill didn't get paid and the site is suspended until that payment is received.

Anyone registering to use the message boards needs to follow the directions.

A few of the most important directions are:
-Full first and last name for username; no kennel names or handles
-Mailing address required in your signature
-Type in the stuff in the boxes its asks for.

There are some people who have registered and done it correctly, but are not yet approved. Once the site is back up, my first priority will be to approve those new members.

Look for some improvements in the site in the coming weeks and months!

The site is back up and has been updated with 2009 B&T Days information. Note that there will be prizes awarded to winners.

I've also approved some new users so if you've been in limbo for awhile, you might be good to go.

Anyone that has trouble registering, let me know and I will do my best to get you in.

Go the the American Black & Tan Coonhound Association website at www.abtcha.net.

There is information there on how to become a member. You can register to use the message forums without being a member of the ABTCHA but I'd highly recomend you join both.

I was just wondering if there was any site dedicated to the history of the B&T coon hound. I have been looking for a while now trying to find a site that lists some of the great B&Ts and breeders of the past. I am very interested in which blood lines and breeders have done the most for the breed. I am also very interested in which lines are best for coon, cat, bear & lion. Like I said I have been looking / researching for months and sort come down to a few guys of today with Big Game lines and then the rest of B&T dogs or blood lines.

I am ashamed to say that if you look on line and type in "History of Treeing Walkers" you can find several sites that give all the information on blood lines, breeders of years gone by and can pretty much look at the breeders of today and know where they are coming from...

Is there a place or what?

Just click on "register" and follow the instructions to become a member.

Its no different than registering to use UKC's message board. You may have been registering dogs with UKC for years but you still had to register to use this board, right?

In the same way you may have been a member of the ABTCHA for years but you still have to register to use the message forums.

Try to register and if you still have issues, I'll do my best to resolve them.

If you're talking about the membership list on the website, you will need to register to use the message forum, as described above.

If you're talking about the ABTCHA membership list, you will need to join the ABTCHA.
