Throw in Live Oaks, Water Oaks (with hollows) and Red Oaks, a lot harder to find. Oh yea, don't forget Spanish moss.

Not harder to tree, just harder to find.

We got lots of coons Jim. But the underbrush is harder on dog and man and on tall trees you can't get where you can look up.

I agree , I’ve hunted all over and coons are harder to find in some areas, but don’t seem to be harder to tree after you are on one. JMO

It is a little easier to "get on one" when there are 5 coons in a 10 acre patch woods as opposed to 5 coons in a 2,000 acre forest. The dead cast last night turned loose on a giant deer lease that was 90% cutover.

I didn't say that at all. Guide was trying hard to help out. Got permission to hunt a great big deer lease that no one had coon hunted for a couple of years.

Definitely can't blame the coon now, we just drawed out here and Allen said during his speech, last night there was 129 coon scored and 165 seen.

If this cold weather gets down that far a few of them should put on a coon treeing show tonight and tomorrow.
