Yadkin Tar Rattler

Besides Nailor which one of his sons can be found in any dogs of today.Does anyone have a line of dogs they started off of that son if so what was his name? What was his best reproducing son beside Nailor. Not interested in just one cross that produced a bunch of winners at some little club Iam looking for his best reproducing son that someone has built a line on thank you in advance

Are these direct sons at public stud?To long ago how come no one built a line around any of his sons?Like the Clover line or Finley river, Is there any yadkin river strains out there built around Tar Rattler?

Sure is. Yadkin River Chico was off Rattler. Got him multiple times in the pedigree of my dogs along with a dog named Tar Jr.

Well Jesse after breeding these dogs for over 35 years if I thought they had any weak points I would like to think if I'm worth a hoot as a breeder I would have bred it out. I actually based my breeding on old Yadkin River Tom, the dog Jim Meeks said was the fastest track dog he ever saw. I never got the opportunity to hunt with him but I did a lot of his sons and daughters. I liked the fact that they had exceptional speed, exceptional nose, housedog sense, good treedogs and few cared about off game. I watched whole litters become better than average coondogs. I even built a local reputation as a dog trainer when basically all I was doing was putting them in the woods and giving them opportunities.
Tar rattler was a great grandson to old Tom and sired some mighty fine offspring.
