Where is the curly tail coming from in some walkers .

I'm not sure. I have one and his whole litter were curly tailed. What I understood they only made that cross one time.

I've seen 3 out of Hillbilly Mac that had a curly tail. One was a super nice dog and he threw curly tails.

I think Brent is right cur dog or possibly elk hound maybe trying to improve there accuracy

Way back

Guys u need to remember not long ago dogs had flag tails an long hair, I even had one with long hair between her toes. Read ones had white chest as well for black dogs. Back before registration got all about money an we got purple ribbon bred , anyone's guess was about what you had. Still today generations later we get throw backs don't hurt just not as easy on the eye, but that's what is particularly wrong we breed for looks instead of coon treeing abilty
