This is my 4 year old son Garrett showing my buddies English dog this past weekend. This was his first bench show. He was real excited and got his first trophy.

Ya I got mine Richard it was pretty nice. It was good enough that they wouldn't sent it to me without having my social security number. It paid for most all my entry's and travel . Pastor Mike should have gotten a decent one as well. I beleive Haze had a pretty good amount of sire points. What ya think Pastor Mike is doin with his?

Boone was qualified for the World at an RQE on Saturday. He won his cast with 175+. Placed 4th out of 8 cast. Things started off a little slow at the first of the hunt. I took 25- minus after he come back in after a while in the woods. The second hour went well scoring a coon and den. Boone went almost a mile though some great big hills and pretty tough terrain to have a den at the end of the hunt. I had a great time and met some nice new people. We done a lot of walking and only scored on two coon. There was another nice dog in the cast that scored a loner at the first of the hunt almost 3/4 of a mile on the first dump. He done a nice job. Thanks to are guide and the members in our cast for a nice hunt.

I got to hunt with Boone Tuesday night and he put on quite a show, 5 coons and a den tree and we quit before midnight. I know where I am taking my next female. Jared, if anyone asks for a reference just tell them to call me.

Thanks Guys for the comments. Boone has looked really good the last few nights in the woods. We had a club hunt Friday night and Boone socred on 3 three coon in our 90 minute hunt. He had a fourth 5 minutes after the hunt was over as well. We had alot of fun.

Richard you are welcome anytime time, I had a good time. I hope we can have another good hunt. Bear looked good as well. That dog can sure move a hot track. Sorry you had some bad luck at the super stakes but there's always next year . Ya win some and loose some.

I talked to Keith Bowling a couple of days ago and he qualified Toadie for the World at an RQE Saturday night. Toadie is due on the 10 of May so she was big and round and still pulled off a win in her cast. Congrats to ya. So that's makes the father and mother both qualified to a zone.

Going by those top reproducers lists, Boone should be the next big thing. Rat, Rabble, Rusty, Bomber, Haze, CD, Little Pepper, Kate, Pepper Ann, Bombers Red Wire, Raven, and Bell all rolled up into Boone. That Boone X Toadie cross should really be something. You have the "pedigree" and the "selection" done right. I hope that they can both do well at the World Finals this year. I know that Boone is capable of winning. I have seen him in action.

Took Boone to Black and Tan days this weekend and had a good and wet time. I think it rained like 85% of the time I was down there. I didn't do any good on Friday night but after a little talk and adjustments with Boone after are hunt. We did alot better on Saturday winning are cast with 225+ missing the Grand Night placement by only 25, it took 250 to place. Boone treed the only coon we seen and it was some pretty tough conditions at the first of the hunt. I had a real good cast and had fun. This qualified Boone for high scoring Redbone.

I also entered him in the water race earlier that day and it was a great time. We got beat by a black dog in the first heat but it was close. These get Boone really fired up.

He does love the water and is not bad at the field trials. One thing he is not is a bench dog . He doesn't stand well on a bench . He a little big and has a couple of chunks missing from his ears from fighting a few coons. Oh well it's hard to have it all I guess . This was only the second water race I have entered him in and he didn't forget how to do it. He jumped right with all four feet in the air. He jumped about 5 ft off the bank and went to swimming. He was barking the whole way across at that ol coon. If he would just keep his mouth closed he would be a bit faster. He was so fired up I had to have someone help me hold him so I could get the colored coller on him. It was all I could do to hold him back. If anyone hasn't ever tried one of these races they should they are a blast. It gets my heart pumping.

Congrats Jared and Boone. I for one have seen that big hound in person at Brazil IN last year in FT and WR and dont let that big frame fool you that dog is athletic and can move. Boone can definitely swim and run. I did also see him getting his picture taken and he didnt want to stand but I think you just need a bigger bench for that big hound Jared haha. Keep up the Good Work!!

I have hunted with Boone twice now and I can tell you he is a nice dog. On both occasions he has gotten treed deep...by himself and had the meat. He strikes me as an honest, independent, accurate, reliable dog with a very good mouth. He opens well on a track and has a nice locate and is a nice steady tree dog you can hear a long way. I think we will see Boone and Jared doing more winning in the future. Him and his dad are great guys and I enjoyed hunting with them and Boone.....Shane
