rocky I will try to get pedigree posted on here pretty soon . They should be nice balanced hounds. I've hunted with cry quite a bit and is as nice of female a man could ask for. Also our misty 2 female finally came in and will be bred this week which is out of Crockett and misty which is out of son x Weeze this is the doubled up rambo female we spoke about.

Sounds good, pretty excited about getting a couple pups out of Boss. I have been checking the post since I talked to you.

Hope everything goes well with the females and they do well having the pups.

Talk to you soon, sounds like some really nice crosses for sure !

Boss puppies.

Boss has been bred to Dual GR independants cry baby out of Kentucky and she had 13 pups. All are doing well ya'll can contact josh crumpton @ 731-610-4386 for availability. This was a great coondog to coondog cross that should produce some nice balanced hounds.

Boss has also been bred to Southern thunders Misty II and is due in about 3 weeks. This is a triple shot of Rambo II. Misty is a great looking layup artist with a great mouth for a female. She is a hard stay put tree dog. Contact eddie harp for availability.

We will be keeping a pup out of each litter.

Guys Boss is 8 years old now but is still being hunted regularly and still being taken to town and winning on the bench and in the woods. He trees coons and don't take all night to do it. When he throws that locate you might as well load the gun.

BOSS is a coondog that will have the meat when you get there. He has done lots of winning both in Ukc and Pkc with a now 16 year old girl handling him in adult cast. This young lady and this hound are also leading the Ukc Youth Spotlight series. I believe this cross will have some sure enough tuff hounds come out of it. Like Mike said we are lining up Rambo II up close 3 times out of winning stock that have traits that are needed and desired to win big events. Drive, speed, and accuracy with loud mouths, independence, and pressure holding ability is the combination this cross will provide.

Good luck with this cross guys!! I had good luck crossing Boss's Sire Logan back on the Rambo dogs. They usually made some nice ones. There are lots of other dogs in the pedigrees also that I am sure will play a part in the success of your cross. Good Luck with your pups!!

Boss

Well here is an update on Boss. He and Bailey won the bright eyes youth spotlight series. # 1 in the country. He picked up wins in several states this year and old dad put on several miles to pack them to these hunts. He had a good young lady handling him and he done his part. At these hunts we never had a paid guide with a honey hole in his pocket or feeder buckets out to jam an easy coon. She and Boss took what they drew and came out on top. Guys he is a coondog and starting to slow down a little but still don't make many mistakes. we took him out last night and after not being hunted in a couple weeks made 2 drops and was split treed twice with coons looking down both times. He will be at the trader inc. pkc youth hunt next week. If you like the logan bred stuff Boss is the real deal. Bailey will be glad to show him any way you want to see him go. Southern Thunders Misty2 female didn't take but Josh crumpton' dual grand Independants cry baby out of Kentucky had 13 pups and I believe he has a couple left that the guys never came through. This was a coondog to coondog cross that there were no holes to cover only accenting good things. PM me if you are interested in breeding or for info on upcoming crosses and pups available.

Bailey and Boss had a good hunt last night at the Trader youth challenge. She won her cast and Boss got out of pocket at the end of the hunt and was treed with another coon. She ended up being tied for the last spot in the final 4 and got beat by the tie breaker. She needed that last coon. lol but Boss done great and Bailey did a great job handling. Boss was the only dog to win a cast that wasn't a walker. She hunted with some pretty well known pkc winners and the old man can still hold his own. Bailey has her money earned to go to the pkc youth nationals in October and God willing her and Boss will be there. The new chapter will start this week as she is going to pick up her male pup from the boss x cry cross she made.

BOSS

Thank you Vic.

Boss isn't getting any younger but still gets it done and done right. Josh crumpton in Kentucky has 2 males and a female left out of the cross of Dual grand Boss and Dual grand Cry Baby . There were 13 pups in this litter and all survived. Bailey's pick of the litter is a splitting image of Boss that's for sure. Yesterday he was out in the yard and ran the cat up a tree in the front yard and two feet up on the wood and treed like a natural at 8 weeks old. Bailey is excited for the next generation. Contact me and I can get ya hooked up with Josh if anyone is interested in one of these pups. Bailey and Boss will be in Charleston Il next weekend at the Il. state youth youth hunt. Come check him out.

At Charleston, IL. last night in the State youth hunt Bailey and Boss won the hunt by getting to himself and having a coon making it look easy. 2 trees, 2 coon. Sure was a pleasure seeing this young girl and hound mesh like they do. I don't know if they will be welcomed back with all the hardware they hauled back to Iowa. Bailey also won the water race with a different dog. Another young girl with Bailey also finished 3rd in the hunt and don't know how many bench classes the won. I think I had more fun spectating this cast than any I ever watched. Don't underestimate this dog in the timber.
DON'T OVERLOOK THIS DOG IF YOU HAVE A GOOD FEMALETO BREED

Alan & Vic , Bailey said thank you to you both and that she had a blast and glad you got to see Boss go again Alan. She is forever grateful to you and Todd. Alan spoke the truth Boss took first and first on the first coon 400 yds in the opposite direction of the rest of the cast and had the coon. The next one she was conservative and took 2nd and 2nd but actually had 1st and 1st but was playing the strategy game lol but was split treed again and then on the last dump he had first again before the time ran out he was deep in the opposite direction again.. No minus while the rest of the cast was drawing minus. Boss isn't a joke. He is just a dog and will still have some off nights as any will but is one of the most honest consistant balanced hounds ive seen in a long time. Bailey does a great job with him and is 100% her dog but if she was to put him in a handlers hands he would be the talk of the bluetick community I'm afraid. We could of done that but that would defeat the purpose of this whole thing. It's her hound and I just leave it up to her to do the winning. We are not in the stud dog business but wanted to offer him to the public because they just don't make hounds like this every day and has a lot of qualities that we feel would benefit the breed. Im not a big fan of female hounds for the simple fact they always seem to come into heat when I am wanting to go to a hunt but right now I wish I had 2 or 3 nice ones to breed to Boss to carry on his traits for years to come. I have walked behind a lot of really nice hounds through the years whether it was mine or one I drew out with and Boss is being overlooked cause he is dang sure the right kind. Bailey and Boss will be in Seneca mo. in 2 weeks for the youth nationals and hopefully will have lady luck on their side. Boss will do his part and Bailey can handle her part but a little luck never hurts especially this time of year. Good luck to everyone and may all your trees have coons.

Next cross.

Boss will be bred this week to Dual Grand Moonshiners' Luna Chase. This will be a cross for the souix valley fly and jet V fancier for sure. Luna is out of GRNT CH Tuckers Blue Boomer and GRNT CH maple river Blue Lady. Luna placed high at autumn oaks a couple years back. This should be another quality cross in the making.

The Boss and Luna cross has been made. Boss will be in Seneca MO this weekend at the youth nationals. Bailey is hoping for some good luck. The old man isn't a spring chicken and this heat is rough on all dogs let alone an almost 9 year old but somehow he seems to just get it done. Bailey and Boss finished in the top 10 at this hunt last year in West Virginia and are gonna try to better that this year. Check out the video on morgan branch kennels facebook page of Boss's pup seeing a cage coon for the first time. He shows some potential, Cross came around the house and threw his nose in the air and followed it right up to the cage and it was on like donkey kong.LoL Even a yard dog will sometimes bark at a cage coon and ive seen a lot of top hounds that had no interest at all in one but that first bark and sign of hope always gets a person excited that they might have a good one. Only time will tell I guess.

Boss x Luna

Glad to hear you have made the cross with Luna. We just could not get it done with old Logan before he passed but this could be even better.
Sounds like Boss is getting some nice females bred and your young pup has some interest in a coon.
Good luck to Bailey and Boss at the youth hunt this weekend. I am rooting for that team for sure!!

Good luck!!
Scott

just a little update; The pup out of Boss and Cry that Bailey kept is a smart fella. at just over 3 months old he is trailing and treeing the cats around the farm like crazy and we have shown him a cage coon and he flat gets with it. I finally got around to speaking with pkc and Boss has 476$ won in pkc so far in very few hunts and Bailey has her money won to go to the pkc youth nationals and she told me last night that she informed her volleyball coach that she would not be at the tournament that weekend in October so I guess we are going to the nationals. These Logan bred hounds are quickly becoming some of my favorites. I have 2 of my own here at the house with GR CH NT CH Captain which is out of Logan and Belle and Scout that is out of Logan and Maggie. Both are nice hounds each one has there strong points but overall are nice balanced hounds that can compete in any company. Captain has 2 wins toward grand and 174$ won in pkc and is qualified for the zones and scout has been in 5 hunts and needs a cast win to be NT CH They all have the brains, heart and looks that I demand in a hound. Don't overlook this bloodline fellas they are coondogs.

None are bred right at the moment close by. If I can find a quality female to purchase there would be lol. Me and Darren have talked about the Boss and Mabel cross cause we like what they both have to offer but he has more young ones than he has time for right at the moment. I am watching for a really nice heavy smokey river female to breed to. Scott has had good success with the logan blood on smokey river females. I have my eye on a nice gyp that is a littermate to our twisted dog that I hear is really nice down in Mo. The only one available at all right now is the liver colored female from Boss and Cry she is in Kentucky but if its something your interested in I can get her to iowa cause I would love to see you have her and bring out what she should have.

Bailey and Boss added another win to their resume this weekend. This duo won the GR NT division at the Iowa State Pink Hunt last weekend. Bailey's hunting partner lexi Hobbs won the overall with her Nt Ch male. These to young ladies are a force to be reckoned with LOL. Great Job girls. Boss will be out of commission for bout a week he ran a big locust thorn in his right rear foot sat night and is swelled up pretty good but he should be alright pretty soon and then Bails will need to get to pushing him to get ready for the pkc youth nationals. On a side note Bailey entered her pup out of Boss in the treeing contest sat and he let 16 seconds get by and then sat in and treed and barked 18 times in the 14 seconds that remained. For a 3 1/2 month old pup he is coon crazy.
