After a lot of thought we have decided to offer Boss at stud for the public. Boss is one of the most balanced coon hounds I have seen go in the last few years. He has enough heart and desire for a kennel full. He can take a cold track and move it and put an end to it with a coon. On a hot track he moves it with his head up and will come treed with a nice big locate and a steady chop. He is a stay put tree dog that will take all the pressure you want to throw at him. When the coons aren't moving he will tree lay ups like its second nature. Boss has proven the ability to win no matter what the conditions are whether it be 10* below or 90 * in the shade. He has won in all types of terrain from the fields of Iowa and Illinois,The swamps of Mississippi,The moutains of West Virginia and the plains of Kansas,big timbers that the coons are scarce to small ditches with coons every where. He has been all over and has proven himself in the timber and on the show bench. Boss is 8 yrs old now and owned and hunted by my 15 yr old daughter and is still winning in the woods and still winning big shows at 8 yrs old. He is UKC and PKC registered and has around $500 won in pkc behind a 15 yr old girl. We will be glad to show him on any night. He is the type of hound that will tree coons every time you cut him loose and get it done and done right! Thank you for your interest.

Thanks ! Scott I cannot take any of the credit though. Bailey and Boss done it. They are a pretty tough team. He is a nice balanced hound.Bailey gives me crap cause I had to buy scout just to try to beat her.lol I know there were sure some boys in Kansas last weekend that underestimated her.

We had a good hunt last night, Treed 5 all together.The first coon Boss and twisted struck in at about 450 and pushed a older track that was headed back towards an old barn but wasn't fast enough to get there they treed him about 150 shy of the barn.They ended up about .6 mile from the truck. We had a couple fellas up from Missouri that are interested in breeding a heavy smokey river female to him and their female and young pup done a nice job. The female and pup were 500 in the opposite direction and had there coon too. The next dump they all hit a good track and smoked it up a tree about 500yds. and while squalling getting their young dog fired up the coon bailed and we cut em loose not expecting to see that coon again. We figured this time he would get to where he was going prob a hole or doze pile but low and behold they ran him down and old ricky didn't fare so well.The next dump they struck pretty quick and moved the track down the creek and then back across the road and ended with a pair up the last tree. 4 tracks,4 trees,5 coons seen no mistakes = COONDOG Good luck to Bailey and Boss at the Nebraska St. youth championships!!!

Bailey won Grand champion male with Boss at the Nebraska state youth championship bench show. She beat a fellow youth handler and after winning she gave the young man her medal that she won due to the fact she had just won the champion males with her other dog twisted. She said he was a really good kid and done a good job with his hound showing. THATS SPORTSMANSHIP!!! and a role model to other youth handlers. Well then, it must be karma because Bailey and Boss went on to win overall high scoring dog and came home with 2 new titles Nebraska state youth show champion and Nebraska state youth night hunt champion. Don't overlook ol Boss guys he is the real deal. Way to go Bails !!!!

Some times a dog and a handler just get together at the right time. Bailey and Boss have been a heck of a team and I have heard that from a number of people who did not have to say it but had to mention it to me.

I still remember Boss as a pup running around at the farm when he was young and an older fellow from Indiana was there with another guy picking up a pup. He said he could not take his eyes off that pup he was so good looking. I said I agreed that he was as good of looking pup as I have ever had there and he was probably too good looking to be a coon hound. Glad I was wrong on that one. I have not seen him since he left the place but his brother Devo down in Tennessee I have seen and he is another nice looking hound. I hope both Boss and Devo get some nice ones on the ground. They are both out of Logan and a Bogie Daughter.

Thanks, Scott they definitely came together at the right time. Bailey can tell you when Boss stubs his toe lol. I'm not gonna set and blow on how great a dog Boss is but I have hunted for over 30 yrs and very seldom do you see it all in one package. Most dogs all have a strong point like they are good track dogs but not the best lay up dogs or vice versa or they have a average mouth or not the best to look at; but Still at 8 yrs old he has a great carrying mouth,cat footed, hard hunting like he is still just 3 yrs old. He will tree lay ups ,push a track and is deadly accurate. He isn't anything flashy I guess, just at the end of the night he will have more plus points and less minus than most of the dogs he gets drawn out with no matter what the conditions are. One word describes him best BALANCED.

If i had'nt quit do to health issues or had a good female I would definately be headed to Iowa to breed to Boss. Best bluetick I ever followed.

Boss is a 2017 performance sire. Guys Boss is a nice balanced hound that can get it done right in any condition and in any terrain and bred good to boot. If your interested in adding Boss to your breeding program,give us a shout Bailey will be glad to show him any night. We hunt coon dogs that get it done with a coon in the tree. Drive,accuracy,and stay put hound.

We had a good hunt last night with Boss. I made 2 drops and looked at 2 coons. Bailey and Boss will be in Louisiana this weekend for the LA state youth hunt. Check him out, Boss is all coondog. You can see videos of Boss on facebook under Morgan Branch Kennels. Boss is 8 yrs old now but never seems to let ya down. We have 3 logan bred hounds here with dual grand Boss at 8, [ logan x jesse ] GR CH NT CH Captain [logan x belle] just turned 3 2 days ago He has 2 wins toward grand and Scout [logan x Maggie] 2, that has a first in 2 hunts Guys this logan bred stuff works. Well the trip to Louisiana didn't go so well, It was thundering and lightening with tornado warnings with some spurts of heavy rain. Needless to say Boss looked less than stellar that's for sure, but they all have off nights sometimes I guess anyway he made a mistake and got beat by a nice blue dog of Mr. Gary Vinnings that his grandson was hunting. The night after coming home Boss put on a clinic, I figure he was trying to make up for the loss down south lol. Me and Bailey hunted Captain and Boss and it was a split tree festival. Both dogs looked great so I guess we will have to keep feeding him. See ya all at the Winter Classic.

Congrats on the wins with your Boss dog. I have told some guys from south east Iowa about him and gave them your number. They are good guys and hopefully will call you. They are blue tick guys and maybe interested in hunting with you or getting a pup from you down the road. Good Luck this year!!

Mr Watson, Thank you for passing the word about Boss. Bailey will be glad to show him anytime. We still hunt him about 3 nights a week and he doesn't let us down very often. He is a nice HONEST coondog that most of all the people that have hunted with him would be glad to let ol Boss eat their dog food.

Bring "Boss" back to the top where he belongs now that Bailey is hunting him. Fine hound that will definately help the breed. He has the blood, hunting desire, running capabilities, lay-ups, straight, and trees coon, not slicks. He is not a 90 day wonder that some professional handler won something with as a 15 year old girl is kicking some butt with him. Bailey has put him in major hunts with good success.

Alan and Coty , thanks for the good words about Boss. I have never been one to brag on a dog but Boss sure makes it tough not to. LOL Bailey hunted Boss at the winter classic last week and would of won her cast on Friday but she treed him and took minus because the 2 min got him but low and behold here came the ol man packin the coon back to her. Lol I guess a fella really cant fault the dog for that, just a tough break that cost her a cast win. She said he was treed by himself all night with the meat. Sat night she had a dead cast. Boss is just an HONEST solid well balanced hound in any area or conditions. If he wasn't the whole package he sure wouldn't be offered to the public for stud. A coondog on paper and in the woods that's for sure.
