I just bought an Eskie puppy and want to be able to show him UKC. This was my main reason for getting him. His dam is a UKC Champion and he's got UKC Champs and GCH all in his pedigree. His sire may not be registered UKC (the breeder is checking) but his (sire's) parents are.

It says that single registration for American Eskimos is closed. Is there no way to register my boy? I assume I could still get a Performance registration to do Weight Pull with him but since he wouldn't be eligible for Total Dog that's a bummer.

I'm hoping the breeder will come back with the sire being registered, I'm just checking out what other options I have.

You can register the dog with a Performance Listing. That would be your only option if the Sire is not UKC registered.

Well, this has me rethinking UKC altogether. It was my preferred venue but may not be a venue for me anymore.
