Oh my goodness, Ranger's legacy lives on. Both the Overall and Opposite Sex Champions at 2016 National Redbone Days are Ranger offspring. I bet that Mr Woody is walking on air today.

I let Scott and Sandy Sallee know today about the winner of redbone days being out of Ranger. They thought that was pretty cool. They owned Sallee's General Red and his sister Rose and were responsible for some of the crosses behind Ranger.

I am not always right. You Midnight Outlaws have so many dogs that I get them mixed up. After drawing out with Slick Jesse and Ridge Fri and Sat nights, my head was spinning. It says in the Redbook that Miss Piggy was the NRCA Overall Champion in 2010. What about Gr Nt Ch Woody? Didn't he win big at one of the Redbone Days? I know that they are both directly out of Ranger.

I know but I am not going to tell you. He is linebred Coffman on the bottom side. There are a couple of females that have done some winning at Redbone Days themselves. Buck is no accident.

Ranger goes back to two dogs from the Timber Jack X Outlaw Jessie cross on the top,so he was 2x Timber Jack. Outlaw Jack and Outlaw Timber Girl. Girl was bred to Burning Ben that produced two GrNt Ch winners including one of the loudest locating females that ever lived GrNtCh Wrights Little Girl 2. She was also the mother to JJ Jr. The Sallees got a littermate and must have bred her back to the Outlaw Jack son. Outlaw Jack was killed with 4 wins to GrNtCh. He won the AKC Junior World Hunt at a little over a year of age. There's a lot of good dogs in Rangers pedigree including Famous Amos, Millers Betsy, Red Oak Mike, Graves Bear Creek Ruby multiple times. Great stuff!

I know that Mongo produced 2 offspring that were Overall and Opposite Sex Champions. Is there any other stud dog that has produced more than one Overall or Opposite Sex Champion? Ranger's 4 has to be the record.

The Tripp X Woody pups are surely "destined" to be big winners. I know that you know what you are doing so that is why I copycatted you when I bred Wendy to Ranger. Didn't you and Danny have the foresight to breed an Overall winner to Ranger back before it was "popular". How did that work out? You Midnight Outlaws sure do seem to know what you are doing.

I know that Timber Jack had To the Max overall at Natonal Redbone Days in 92 and Outlaw Timber Girl was hi opposite sex at the same hunt in 92.. Timber Girl won overall at American days and U.S. Days in 92 also and was hi opposite sex at National days again in 94
Billy the Kid not only won National days in 93 but also produced Gr.Nt.Ch. Wapsi River Cookie (mother of Moonlight Kate) who won overall at National Redbone days in 96...
Outlaw Billy the Kid also produced Outlaw Cherry Bomb who won Hi Opposite Sex at National days in 2014 and overall at PKC Redbone Days in 2015
Outlaw Billy The Kid also produced Moonlight Outlaw Mac who won overall at PKC Redbone Days in 2016.
Outlaw Billy the Kid also produced Little Red Billy who has won overall at Southern Redbone Days two different years as well.
There may have been others in the late 90's or early 2000's but these are the ones I know of off the top of my head.

The crosses Terry Hayes and I made on Gr. Nite Ch. Hayes Ramblin Red Ace and Gr. Ch. Hayes Ramblin Red Kate produced 1982 American Redbone Champion Gr. Ch. Nite Ch. Hayes Ramblin Red Vader, 1982 U.S. Redbone Champion Ch. Nite Ch. Todds Traveling Tracks, 1985 American Redbone Champion Ch. Nite Champion Hayes Ramblin Red Hot, 1987 National Redbone Opposite Sex Redbone Champion Ch. Nite Champion Elburns Ky. Kate. Also The cross on kate and Hennings Chief produced produced 1987 American Redbone Opposite Sex Champion Grand Nite Champion Hoffmeisters Red Brandy. There might have been more out of other females but these are the ones out of Kate.
