newbie rule question

handlers not striking their dog on or before the 3rd
bark. My question is , If my dog bawls 2 times, and I can tell he is smelling possum by the way he is opening, Then his 3rd bark is 8 mins. later , do I have to strike him. Is there a time limit on the 3 barks.

The period of time that elapses between barks doesn't matter in this instance. After the first minute passes, a dog must be struck on or before the 3rd bark whether it happens right away or there is a period of time in-between barks.
