.

That sounds like some kind of connection problem or electronic component problem. About the only thing you can do in check the battery connection and make sure it is fully charged. If it still does it, I would send it back for another one. Never heard of that problem before.

for Bruce...

one of my alpha TT15 collars has trouble connecting with the hand held...I turn it off and on and eventually it connects...sometimes I turn the hand held off and on...once it connects it will lose signal at a lot shorter range than the other collars...the only thing I have noticed is that the orange rubber antenna tip is off and there are bare wire ends sticking out...

the above has happened on the last 3 or 4 hunts...on the last hunt the battery drained to the alarm setting after about an hour...

the other 4 collars connect quickly and have good range to them before loosing signal and had plenty of battery left when the hunt was over...

what should I do to try and fix this issue?

thanks

.

Are you talking about the antenna on the collar has bare ends? Not sure what orange antenna your talking about. Yes if is the antenna on the collar then you need to replace it and a simple test would to take an antenna off another collar and swap with that one. See if that collar starts working correctly.

Thank you Bruce...it is the collar antenna, it has an orange slip on rubber cap at the very end of the antenna and that cap has fallen off...now there are bare wires sticking out...I will swap antennas and see what happens...
