Are you talking about turning loose with hard hunting dogs? Try every other time, hunting him alone. It would build him up. Try cutting him right beside other dogs, never behind so he has to catch up. Might use the toner button too... Then zapping him on low might have to be the alternative.

Babbling

He starts as soon as you pop the leash Wether he's by himself or with company but he's a really hard hunter and he will get gone quick. It looks like I'm going to have to invest in a shock collar.

Why would anyone wanna break one from babbling? If your gonna compete these days you better be toting a 100 strike every chance you get.....

I have a 3 year old plott that will def bark excited 2 or 3 times in the first 30 yards or so with 4 other dogs. But is a true strike dog. There is a big difference in an excited bark or so when you cut them with other dogs and babbling IMO. I don't really think of that as babbling unless you cut them and they bark from the time you cut them loose all the way through the minute and never go anywhere with it, and follow the other dogs around.

Well mine definitely goes and he's a good strike dog and hes alittle on the cold nosed side. It's just the nonstop hyped up barking from the time you put the tailgate down till he gets in the woods that annoys me
