Well robert, my knees dont hurt but my heels do, mainly my right one does. I have this thing called Plantar Fasciitis. You would have thought someone beat the bottomside of my heel with a hammer. Getting up in the morning is the worst. They said to ease up on the walking and to get some new shoes. Funny thing is as the day goes on it dont hurt as bad but after I sit and it tightens up it is almost unbearable. The doctor wanted to know why I went so long. I asked her if she coon hunted and she said only with her dad and that she understood then. Lol

The best part of it is I'm getting some new boots and chaps. My quatros lasted a year so probably go with them again.

That's the way it is with me after I get home is when the pain starts. Always wore the leather boots with chaps just to hard to get on and off my feet got a pair of alpha burlys now I like them but when it's cold rubber boots get stiff I got a pair of bekeeni boots still in the box sure feel thin I don't have good luck with rubber boots I knock holes in them for some reason lol.

Go get some good insoles for Plantar Fasciatis. It may not cure it, but the pain will be less. And set down, stick your foot out in front, and use your toes to spell out the alphabet in the air. Sounds silly, you'll look silly, but it will help. When the pain is real bad do it about 4 times a day.

this coonhunting is a rough sport.
prednisone works for me. without it I'm on crutches.
side effect= I'm hungry all the time and am already 100 lbs overweight. I'm sure if I could lose the 100 my feet and legs would appreciate it.

Go to foot Dr. Get the shot and prescription. He then fitted me for GOOD insoles. Been great now for over 3 years. Highly recommend this route.

They never offered me any shots...all I remember is the doc said, " patience is a virtue" and when I ask "why is that??", he said, "because this usually takes about a year to go away....and it did. Now I got it in the other foot, but not as bad. Definitely get some of those insoles made for it. I got mine at the local Tractor Supply.

Had the same thing 6 yrs. ago. Went to the doctor, gave me a shot of cortisone in my heel. Before the shot, was the worst when getting out of bed in the morning. Pain was unreal, like a piece of re-bar run up through my heel. Got the shot, walked out and never looked back. No pain since.
