Please move this thread to the PH classified board please. Don't want any clutter here, and I want your hound you have foresale to get the attention it deserves. Lol

MDKC

I think coon should allowed . Just score them lower than possum. My dog would seldom get beat but once in awhile he gets trashy and trees a coon . I don't think he should get scratched for off game. May it could be tree dog association . 100 for possum 75 for coon 25 for slick then no matter what we walk to will be scored . Just the anticipation of what your gonna score will be awesome!

This kinda started as a joke but how many of us would still be hunting if we had not had the variety element when I was a kid you just never did know !! But when we did get a coon we was big time what a wonderfull way to start a kid hunting and for a bunch of grown ups to be a kid again.

Oh boy here we go. Setting the rules up just to suit the hound we have on the end of the leash. I say we stay true to the roots of the PHKC values. If it ain't a possum then its minused. If your hound slicks then its done.

all joking aside

really it doesn't matter what type of game, to me its about the love of hounds and honestly if you think about it coon are worth a dollar and grinners are worth a dollar. It would sure be a lot less walking lol but you will still have those ol ridge runner possums that they ran 1.9 miles before they got him treed lmao. No matter what type of hunts we are gonna have I'm gonna do my best to have a good one right now I don't have one that's good at either. lol

No lie. Some guys here started hunting several yrs ago. Have quit now but they didnt care what it was. I have a big wma right by my house. 28,000ac These guys treed like 80 possums and 20 coon or so in the season. Had a ball doing it. Lots of nights we couldnt even get after a coon but these fellers treeing plenty of possums lol.

Robert has blueticks from what I am hearing on the down low. I didn't think with a name like that you were allowed to have blueticks.

I wish we had some those ugly buggers up here they sound like fun. I'd trade y'all a couple porkies for a breeding pair of grinners.

Nope never been any in these parts. I wonder if ups would ship em or maybe need a dog hauler lol. I know I ain't drivin up to no border crossing with em in a crate or I might be late gettin home for supper lol.

First one I seen, only one actually, was in Ashland Ohio I jumped right out of the guides truck and run it down in a field for a better look. Guide about laughed his ass off tellin me just grab him by the tail lol. Took a one year old to the world hunt zones in Michigan about 10 years ago I figured I wouldn't be long seein some cause he wasn't exactly straight at home but he made it thru the weekend clear of em.

Think I'll get the wife on the phone tomorrow eee what UPS thinks lol.

My dogs are gamey enough I imagine all I'd need are the possums and I'd have possum dogs.

Porkies for possums is a fair trade. I'd throw in a pair of size 10 muck boots. Only the left one leaks.
