Knowing that these new lights arent waterproof and are fragile i take a shoestring and go around the liner on the hardhat at the back.makes a lanyard you put around your neck where if it falls off your head it dont hit the ground or water. Its worked several times and is not uncomfortable.

I have also learned Cajun lights are not waterproof either. Hunted in a downpour one night on a cast, went out the following night for fun and light wouldn’t work. Opened up the back and looked like the battery exploded. I think water must have got into the charging port. However I contacted them and sent it back and they fixed it for a reasonable price. So it was only a minor inconvenience for a week or so as it made its way there and back in the mail.

I’ve got the original “sunspot” on a bump cap that does that same thing. I believe it was just part of working out the ergonomics as light building progressed. Seems like when the batteries starting going on the hat, some fine tuning was needed to get the balance right. The last two lights that I’ve gotten from Sunspot.. the ultra HD and most recently the Extreme Rage, neither of those have that issue, they fit great. No complaints from me on Sunspot and Michael has stood behind them from everything I’ve seen.

Bright Eyes

I have the Fuzion and my two boys have the Reaper. All I can say is you will not go wrong with the lights and especially the service. These guys are top notch! I think most of the lights are similar with brightness. It comes down to service and when I call Bright Eyes someone answers the phone. Old School!

I have a Lazor Torch that's probably 10 years old, maybe older. It's when they first added color to cap light.

Only issue I've ever had is that the amber doesn't work most of the time, prob loose wire or something because it will work on occasion. But the red and green as well as the 5 levels or so of white work just fine.
