Old dog in a real bad slump need suggestions

bred my 5 year old female back in the end of January. A couple weeks later she started acting real screwy so i brought her to the vet to see if she took and it turned out she didnt take and tested positive for erlichiosis. So i laid her up for a month and gave her doxycycline. Started hunting her again beginning of april. Ever since then she probably has 2 coons out of every 10 trees. Anyone ever had this happen? Is it long term effects of the diesease? Will she come out of it?

I

Have had 5 with it and have tried everything vets and everyone else have told me. Sorry to say only one that I no longer own appears to have gotten back to where he was before. It affected all mine in different ways. Maybe yours will recover I sure hope so but I’ve had no luck with it.

Not sure about this but I saw a thread where Dr. Hallada said they were having success using a combination of drugs. Might have been only for Lymes, I'm not sure but something to check.

I found out x had eurlikia when he was about 18 months old. I gave him the 30 supply of doxycycline. Hunted him for about a month and it was the same thing so we checked his blood count and it was low which after they test positive this is how you check it. So we gave him another 30 days of it.... looked decent for about 3 weeks to a month and got to doing the same thing. This time I found out a shot called imozol. I gave it as instructed along with 600 mg of doxycycline a day for 30 days and since then ive won chkc elite shoot outs, semi finals of pkc world, semi finals of the chkc world. Reserve pkc national champion. So and he still acts fine. If I ever get another one with it I'm going straight to the shot. Longer they got it harder it is to treat

Get the shot and you need to supplement his thyroid for a while.

I didn't mess with the thyroid pills because I didn't want to have to keep giving them. Mines level was low but after the shot it climbed back to normal. Now I don't have to give him nothing but a switching every now and then
