Aub & the kids made a couple drops last night.

NITECH FCH CH PR Goza's Sing Along Country Girl (Ox x Rose)

Two Dice pups......CH PR Red Fever Snake Eyes (Ox x Dice) and GRCH PR Red Fever Let Er Rip Taterchip (Tater x Dice).....Dice definitely puts her stamp on her pups.....all the ones we've hunted with (regardless of their sire) have the same big, die-bawl locate as her.

Last night I finished Dolly to NITECH at the Greenwood redbone sectional! She won first place open registered and queen of the hunt! Dolly made NITECH with two 1st place wins and a 3rd place RQE!

Congrats to Heath Knipp and family on their wins last weekend with their PR Red Fever Jukebox Johnny (Ox x Fury). Heath says they threw him in the water race and field trial for the first time, and he won line and tree in both, and he also won Best of Show! He already has a 1st in the hunts......looks like he's on his way to Quad Champion!

Soooo, in case anyone was wondering.......we didn't completely fall off the face of the earth this summer. Just busy, busy with life, kids, work, etc., but also a big chunk of our time went to building our new kennel. For those that didn't know, we moved last year. It's been a dream of ours to have a nice kennel that we can heat, automatic waters, easy to clean, etc........our new place has a really nice barn, but we didn't want to chop that up for a kennel, so we turned a really nice feed bunk (I know, you're like FEED BUNK???, yes you read that right) into our new kennel. As I said, it was a REALLY nice feed bunk, the vet that owned our place before us put quite a bit of money into it, but it still required A LOT of work on our part to turn it into the building we wanted it to be. I have had people asking for pictures, and so I thought I'd share some of the process. Enjoy!

We also added a couple of run pens.

Thanks guys, it was a lot of work, but it was well worth it!

We also went to the Wilton ARCA redbone sectional in September. The redbones were well represented, and it was an enjoyable day. Thanks to the Wilton Rod & Gun club for putting on a well run event, and thanks to all those who came out to support it.

Terry Hledilck purchased a Tater x Annie Oak Tree pup from us in September. She ran and treed her first night to the woods, and is doing great. Keep up the good work with her Terry!

Terry Hledilek and Dakota Wagner came down for a hunt with Aubrey and Abram. They had a good hunt, the coon moved well early, and slowed up later in the night.

Abram is going regularly with Aubrey on the mules now, and enjoying it. They took Ricochet for her first night and she did a beautiful job, tracked and locked down treed first night out.

Too true, Brandon....especially on your comment to Ricochet......though he is right, she is a natural like himself......therefore, she will be a cause of a lot of pictures. The kids are getting big; it's hard to believe how time flies, but is especially obvious when you look at a). how big your kids are getting, and b). how old your dogs are getting. Clyde is 14 now, I'll be kind of surprised if he makes it through the winter, but it's certainly possible.....he's slipping some, but not terribly. Hope all is well for you as well, it's a big job holding down those crazy Lafayette County people, but someone's got to do it!

Aubrey and Bill Gudgeon had a good hunt the other night. They took 2 Dice males, Thunder and Willy. Both are BIG mouth dogs, and one of the neighbors thought they were right behind his buildings when they were actually almost a mile away!

Had another good night with Ricochet, Dice, and Mischief. Aubrey and the older kids went with the neighbor farmer and his two girls. The farmer had went with Aubrey before, and the girls like to hunt, but had never been coon hunting.....sounds like they enjoyed themselves. They came home with a monster that the dogs caught in the corn. All we had was a bathroom scale, but he came in at 33 lbs.

Aubrey was able to get another one of our up and comers out for her first night, Black Widow. As some of you may or may not remember, Rip bred baby last fall and then died the next day.....hence Widow's name. She is just coming out of heat, and so Aubrey took her out with her Momma and aunt Dice......first track she ran with the old dogs and locked down treed every breath just like she's been doing it for years. And no fluke, she did it throughout the whole hunt.....just like her momma, daddy, grandma, granddad, etc. did their first couple nights to the woods. Needless to say, Aubrey is pretty stoked about his young up and comers.

Aubrey and the kids went out a couple nights ago and took Beast (Rip x Baby), Baby (Rock x Star), and Dice (Clyde x Bonnie). It was Beast's first night out, and he did great as well, tracked and treed on most of the tracks. He seems to be quite independent already, and tries to get off by himself and get his own thing going......typical of a Rip pup. Unfortunately, the camera battery wasn't charged, and Aubrey only got a couple pictures taken before it died....so no pictures of him, but he'll get him out again soon and get some pictures.
