Bob what I use is a welders cap. Probably not what they call it but it's a little like a stocking cap. Actually more comfortable with it than without but it is warm unless it's pretty cold.

Welders beanie is what they are called. Some have a little bill on them but the one I use does not.

Bob,

Just punch in hard hat liners into Google. Now depending upon what exactly your wanting you'll find them.

If you're wanting the thicker style that has Velcro strap on the bottom then check out Northern Saftey. Hard hat liners are a safety item. Same as ice cleats for boots. They aren't meant to last years, only about a month or 2.

Bob

TSC, Rualking, Farm and Fleet, Big R, or Farm and Home. They will have them in welding supplies. Or Northern Tool has different quality. I always got the ones that Velcro to nylon adjusting liner in hardhat. Then fasten the velcro under under chin. Hardhat/light stays on head.

When I retired out of limestone quarry some how a couple followed me home.LoL! Keep one in hunting coat for use as needed.

Good Luck
Randi

Bob, Donnie

I grew up hunting in these mountains and believe me it tough hunting, but I don't think it would be as tough as you guys hunting on snowshoes. I can't imagine having to hunt in snow that deep, or living where it gets that cold in the winter. Every place has it's ups and downs I guess it's what one gets used to that really counts. Lol. Dave

Coldest country I ever hunted was in Minnesota hands down.

Bob - I like the Maxit brand balaclava better than welders beanie. No comparison IMO . The Maxit balaclava is thin yet still warm . Helmet stays on head better with it I think. It's tight and stretchy but won't stretch out if that makes sense.
I bought my first one about 15 yrs ago Bass Pro but they don't carry em anymore . .. go to Amazon..
