I heard out of staters don't have to wait till there own season starts anymore. Does anyone know if that's true. Wanting to head up if that's the case.

I just went thru the regulations and there is nothing in the regs that says Non-Residents have to wait.

Yes it can be, I'm surrounded up here along the Maple River, it goes for about 30 miles east to west with private mixed in. Of course I grew up here from 19060 till now. Tons more all over, big problem is finding big tracks so u don't have to be too concerned with the private.

J , just saying we have a PKC hunt this week end 28/29 Sep (Maple River CLassic I believe $30.00) then we have a cash hunt (all entries sold $200.00 entry) following week end (Both Hunts Maple Rapids) , a UKC hunt on 12/13 Oct (Bellevue CLub) than a walker sectional on the 19/20 Oct Maple Rapids. Not saying you have to hunt the hunts but lots of good people to visit with. Camping on grounds. good squirrel hunting too. Both clubs are with in 40 mins of Lansing, Mi.

Tony, maple river is probably my favorite place to coon hunt ever. I grew up deer hunting that area and then when I started coon hunting it was unreal. Love that area

Yes I left due to military for 12 years and moved back, no place like home, still good hunting all around except the bird hunting has all but gone.
