Young Hound Pacing

How can I get my young dog to quit pacing around in a circle all day on the chain? I have a year old male walker who places around in a circle all day on the chain. He gets hunted 5 to 6 nights a week 3 to 4 hours every night I take him so he is getting plenty of exercise but he still places on the chain all day I cant seem to burn his energy off. Just wondering if there is anything that can be done to help him with this. I've had plenty of hyper dogs but none quiet like he is, he puts a whole new meaning to it, lol.

Get 2 or 3 hunting buddies together and ATVs and hunt him every night as long as possible and see if you can hunt him down...lol... but most of that kind won't hunt when you go hunting

Our dog Perry County Blackout paces in a circle most of the day. I don’t think you have to be to concerned about it.

Look at my Just a thought post! Most of the time this will give a positive outcome but don't put things back to the old way for at least 2 months.

I think it's hilarious really he will go around in a circle from daylight to dark until he is ready to sleep I will take him hunting and he will start it soon as he gets back round and round. I dont see where he gets all the energy. And 2ol2hunt he has plenty of drive the first night I took him in the woods he went 0.69 miles with my old dog and has been going deep ever since unless he gets after something but around here in these tennessee hills he has to get deep to get after something very thin coon population and I'm glad he will hunt like that. And I've got him on the ole roy dog feed lower protein in the summer and high protien in the winter. That's how I've always done all my hounds and they do just fine on it always have.

Had one I put in a 5 x 10 kennel. drove me crazy watching that nut pace. I put bars a few feet apart chest high across kennel. It sure slowed it down.
