Come on Gary

Love your shows and your product but the fellow with the ear gages and tongue stud really doesn’t represent this hunting community. I understand the need to diversify and try to invite other people into our group but is this really what we have come to. No respect for hunting or the game. Whatever new gadget you can produce that will keep you from actually working for the prize. I know hogs are a nuisance but we are above this.

What does it matter how this young man dressed or wears for clothing? If he has interests in hounds that's good enough. If he had tattoos would you think of him differently than ear rings? How about long hair, or bushy beard? You're judging a person by how they look and not by their character.

There weren’t any hounds. Watch the video and see if this is the type of hunting you think represents most hunters.

I was a couple minutes late tuning in and when I did it was showing 67 coyotes that had been killed in a competition hunt. From there it went to a hog hunt that wasn't Gary's typical show. Didn't even have Gary's uaual Land for sale comercial. I even rechecked to make sure it was Carnivore. I'll just say it wasn't his usual program and was mainly promoting a weapon that didn't look like anything that Gary would have used.

That was the piece I am referring to. I have never seen anything like that on his show. My wife even commented that it was unusual.

It included hunting dogs and that made it more interesting for me...It doesn’t matter if it were rabbit dogs or stag hounds running down and catching coyotes...

How many hunting shows are willing to include hunting dogs in their shows?

Reuben we must have watched different shows. Never saw a dog on the one I watched. It actually bordered on the edge of disgusting. It was advertised as one demonstrating a new call but never saw anything about it. I really think there was a technical mixup.

Yes...I am wrong and I apologize for that...

I record all the Carnivore shows and then watch them later...apparently I haven’t watched the latest...

I have not seen this show. I do know we as hunters are our own worst enemy’s. You have hunters against trapping, and hound hunting . We are a dying breed we need all the new hunters we can get. Who cares if someone has gauges in there ears, or tattoos. What has that got to do with being an outdoorsman or hunter?. What has that got to do with being a goood human being? We have groups of hunters that don’t care if the antis are trying to stop hound hunting ,and they themselves support the effort to stop hound hunting because they don’t like it and it doesn’t effect them. That’s where there wrong. They go after the easiest target first and that is hound hunting and they are succeeding. You’ve got to be a complete idiot if you think once they succeed there they will stop. They will then move on to the next form of hunting to reach there goal of no forms of hunting. We need to stand together to support all forms of hunting and trapping. If we are getting new people involved who cares how they dress or look.

There was no hound hunting on this show. As was stated before watch the video and see if you think this kind of behavior represents our hunting community. It had nothing to do with hounds or any kind of hunting tradition or information. It exemplified the kind of behavior that the antis use against us.

I’m just curious how going out ,setting down and calling in a animal “usually a predatory animal” isn’t about hunting. In order to be successful you have to fool hat said animal. It involves knowing where to set up, knowing where the animal is likely to be and come from. That involves knowing the wind because predators especially will circle into the wind . You need to know what call to use and when to use it. You need to know when to call and when not to call. As I previously said we are our own worst enemy’s forget PETA we will destroy ourselves from the inside. We as hunters need to support all forms of legal hunting whether it’s a form you participate in or not.

It was about hog hunting and hog hunting at night which I have no problem with. Like I said hogs are a nuisance. It has more to do with the hunters “ attitude “ and how they approach our sport and treat our quarry. My wife is neither a hunter or anti hunter but felt the show was disrespectful to what we do. I do not want to step on anyone’s toes or upset anyone, to each his own, but I felt compelled to say something because of my enjoyment of the way carnivore has always showed hunters in a positive way.

When the show started it was announced it was Outdoors 704. Pursuit aired the wrong show in that time slot. Never said Carnivore, Gary Robison, or Ruger.

Can you explain about th attitude? About what happened, just trying to understand and want to see you’re side. I just checked I don’t get the network that this airs on so I have no way of,watching the episode. I’m just wanting to try and understand the issue. Thanks

you got that right. I tuned in when it was shown on the schedule and got the same" outdoor704 stuff.. after a few minutes shot it off.. then recorded a later show.. It was just what Gary produced and real good to watch.

I think those programers owe Gary an extra space or 2.
