Bubba D's Blues
Thanks, I'm kind of surprised too but I have plenty of room if they don't sell. lol. Ann started very easily, has a lot of go, a male dog mouth, good nose, and is just one of those dogs that things have went easy with. The ones in her litter that I kept track of were all the same way. I also bred her mother to my Ohio Valley Jimmy dog and they looked different but had the same type of natural ability. I also heard the same about the litter Skeeter came from. The Ring dog was a Coon Dog just plain and simple. He came from crosses that my Dad made over the years that Dad, me, or Mike Elberfeld have hunted for several years. Some of the blood that is in Ranger's mother's side also came from some of those same crosses that Dad made in the 70's and 80's that produced some outstanding hounds. That is why I went to Missouri to breed to Ranger after studying his pedigree and gathering information about his ancestors. This is also why I bought Ranger for future breedings. I am mainly a pleasure hunter but I know the type of dogs that I like. They have to have brains, good dispositions, desire to go hunting and go a long way if needed to tree a coon, medium to cold noses with the ability to run a track, and one of my main traits that I breed for his winding ability. Knowing the bloodlines and also hunting with Ranger, Ann, and many of their ancestors, I feel like this cross can produce good to excellent hounds that can also win in competition with the traits that I am looking for.
