Rat terrier

Worn out coonhunter of a friend wants a rat terrier. I hunt his hounds sometimes for him on his cattle operation. Probably end up as house dog. Anyone got any?

I’ve currently got 2 jagd terriers. They make awesome pet/companion dogs that aren’t afraid to “work” when on the farm or trap line. They do need daily exercise to keep them happy, but on a farm they get it everyday. Just another type of dog but is similar to a rat terrier in size. Without offending any rat terrier folks I would say the jagd is a higher prey drive and energy level then the other terrier breeds we commonly see.

I know of a jag that strikes from the truck, many times is ahead of the hounds on a coon track and is a solid tree dog. It is the only jag i have ever hunted with and really surprised me.
