We would like to get some ideas for raffles we are thinking about doing a dog trailer with runs it would get raffled off at nationals but you would be able to buy tickets until then at sectionals world NHBA days. What kind of things would you like to see get raffled. Dog trailer, alpha, garmin, dog whelper, dog box etc. give us some ideas thank you.

Raffle off a Alpha $10 a ticket but only sell like 200 tickets people think they have a better chance that way just a thought. You could even make a 2nd and 3rd like $100 each Still make close to $1000

might check into like a 1/4 or a 1/2 beef and see what it would cost boys baseball is doing great on the 1/2 they are raffling. everyone could use that.

I agree with Dan, support those who support us. What about a years supply of dog food? Mudd River has some great travel bags, maybe a $500 gift certificate to your local vet, weekend hotel stay for the World or Nats.,a prepaid visa card (could be used for anything), Maybe give a free entries to NHBA Days or a Gold Membership. What about a gift certificate for UKC that can be used for registrations or big hunt entries. Im sure there are several other ideas that can be used. Whatever you decide I would keep it hunt related and geared to support NHBA.
Dont get me wrong a dog trailer would be GREAT but some dont need one and some dont want one. For these people they may not buy tickets and if they do they will sell it. Big investment that can only be given away once a year. For that same money I think you could give alot away at each major event which means several people win something rather than 1 person winning alot.
WHATEVER you guys decide I will support. NHBA is and has done so much for all of us. Without everyones support NHBA cannot exists.

One Idea: Let's say one hundred dollars cash, could be used for fuel, entry fees, more NHBA Raffle tickets, donations to scholarship fund etc. etc..; I usually turn around and give the 50/50 back if I win in either donations, raffle tickets, food at the concession areas, give the child that drew ticket 5 - 10 bucks etc. etc... I think most of us like a cash award and we usually give a portion of it back one way or another.

Another Idea would be: Purchase 5-10 sets of Playing Cards and hold 5 different 20 - 25 dollar item raffles (i.e. Hunting Knife, Lead Strap and Collar, Bag of Dog Food, Wal-Mart Gift Card, 5-7 lb hams, Restaurant Gift Cards, Front Line Flea Control, etc. etc... for a dollar / two dollars each, reason I say this is that not all beaglers budget or finances can afford 5, 10 and 20 dollar chances but we can benefit by letting those that can afford one and two chances the oppourtunity to win some items as well, it still makes NHBA 25 -52 dollars on each deck of card.

Get a couple nice items donated and hold Silent Auctions on them and have a closing deadline time on that item so everyone knows to keep checking back on the item if they have a lot of interest in it.
