A few clubs around my way have decided to have a local Chase. Here's how it will work. All dogs regardless of age in same chase. Each club will put in $200 up front. Also, each club will add in an additional $2 per dog entered for four trials this year. So far the clubs are,

Southern Lancaster, Buck. [in]
Darlington Beagle Club. [in]
Rising Sun Beagle Club. [in]
Chesapeake city. [in]

Anyone can participate. You can only earn points at the clubs who are paid in. Points will be earned liked this. 10 pts. for a first round cast win with plus pts. Category win 5 bonus pts. at the end of the year, the top 16 dogs will run off at a place TBA. for the Money. First place 40%, second 30%, third 20%, fourth 10%. As of now the first trial to earn points will be Southern Lancaster on March 22-23.

Harry, I think this is a great idea and I think we will get more interested after the first year and people will see how much fun it's going to be.

Chesapeake city

Southern Lancaster [Buck]

First trial that starts the chase is
3/22-3/23 at Southern Lancaster.

Chesapeake City 3/29.

Southern Lancaster 4/5 4/6 State hunt. Double points.

Chesapeake City 4/19

Darlington 4/26 4/27 Md. state hunt. Double points.

Rising Sun 5/17.

Darlington 5/31 6/1

Sounds like a great idea to promote entries, hounds and the local clubs in your area. Kudo's to all the clubs involved and hope to see your efforts be well served.

Here's a good example of clubs working together, in support of each other and finding different ways to stay afloat and their love for the sport. I love it!
