With all the negative being thrown around about the sports, the kennel clubs, and the supporters I thought id give credit where credit was due. I was overwhelmed by the amount of support from members of not only our own members but members from neighboring clubs. We had somewhere around 40 people ask to guide or let us know they were available. We had maybe 2 questions the whole weekend. Also the amount of sportsmanship was incredible. I even drew the one and only Kurt Arhing and didn't even have a bit of problem (that was a joke )! I met some great people from all over. It's a small world in the coonhunting world and rather than being at each others throats why not support each other? My dog will get beat because he doesn't tree more coons than the cast winner, not because I'm going to try and minus someone every chance I get. Preventative judging and situational handling is all you need to keep problems to a minimum!

Loved your reply, those are the kind of memories that are priceless. Something about a boy and his dog teaching each other, it never gets old in my book. I feel sorry for all those young guys that have never experienced hunting with a dog. I grew up in a hunting home [ dad coon hunted ] and just can't imagine not having a tree dog. Dave
