Even the best dog in the event can't do well if their cast goes to places where there are no coons. Can't make them out of thin air. Luck has the most to do with this sport. A good dog drawing the best location for coons will win hands down.

I've only hunted with 3 of the hounds that qualified, Whitaker's Smokey IV, Cord's Frankie G. and the Plott dog, Rider. All three are nice hounds. Wouldn't be surprised to see any of those 3 in the final 4.

ive seen a lot of people pulling for past winners of world hunts ( not so much on this post , but a few other ones ) I say how about the guy that's down there with a no name power house , that's stayin in a tent or camper that's handling his own dog ! not a money hungry dog jockey with a hired handler ! i'd like to see a b and t or redbone , or blue dog pull it off . seen a breakdown of number of dog by breed and the percentages and b and t's had the best percentage of all . iam a walker man through and through , but cant help but pull for a under dog and owner no matter the breed !
