Thanks CCBC great hunt and great event. This was my first year on being able to make to this hunt, I dont know what more they need to do to make people come and run dogs at this event this prize package is unbelievable what they give back to the hunters, so give back to the club by coming out and supporting this event, the talk by the end of the weekend was maybe doin anyway with this hunt, hell us beaglers should be pushing to get more hunts like this I mean who in their right mind would want a yellow slips over a Garmin collar, shocker, or a dang Alpha. I hear all the time Ukc needs better prize packages well in order for that to happen u have to show up to get the entries. In the biggest hunt of the year the ARHA World hunt ur running for a **** trophy hats and dog food at 30$ a dog and theirs 100's of entries (sit down and think about the for a min and see who getting rewarded there!)

To what club members showed up did a great job at putting on the event even if their dog was out of the hunt they stayed and judged or guided! Had a great time with everyone til next year.

Great hunt! Well said Owen. Congrats to the winners.

Great prizes but so little participation.
Is there some other major beagle event the same weekend?
Maybe some will not run due to the heat?
Some did not know there was 2 rounds and with all dogs running at the same time they thought they could only run 1 dog. Some will not travel far to run only one dog.
I also heard this may have been the last Garmin Triple Challenge.

A few ideas to consider:
Choose a week-end late fall to early spring.
Advertise and publish in upcoming events that there are 2 rounds A and B.
Change the name to Garmin Total Dog. No performance pack eliminates the "triple".
Change the bench show structure. Have a judge do the regular bench show. Use a panel of 3 judges (Bench show judge and 2 more who may have dogs entered) to determine the event Total Dog points. If one of the other two panel judges have a dog entered the judge does not score his own dog. That dog's 3rd score will be the average of the other two judges' scores. That would eliminate the myth of giving the bench show judge too much control over the final outcome. Bench Show is 1/3 of dogs score.
Host a seminar Sat eve.

Hope this hunt continues. Awesome club with great running.

Think taking away the pp may have contributed to low entries.Usually on pp day eople brought several dogs n then showed n hunted winners Sun..
Dont know but congrats to the ones who did attend n place..
We missed this year but hope to make it next year.

Congrats to the all the winners. Vicki may have a point about the PP hunt being took away...always a fun hunt and sorry we couldn't make it this year either. We will be back hitting all the trials in full force real soon.
