I've had a black bullet for many years, only problem was it got knocked off my head, fell about 10 ft, landed on rock, then went in the water. Had to fiddle wth the switch to get it on and keep it on. They fixed it and all I had to pay was the shipping. Also have a apex that has never been a problem. The appex is brighter and has a red light. I bought a original lasor torch from Bobby probly 20 years ago. He upgraded it to a 2 at the GA later. It has the same battery that came with it and always been a good light.

I've been using them for 3 or 4 years with no problems.
