For anyone looking for a stud dog I would highly recommend Shock Style Ratchet owned by Mr. Lance Shockley of Colorado. I know that ratchet is in Missouri right now. Mr. Shockley is an honest man that will help get you what you need. I was looking for a young dog out of ratchet that was ready to start and he got on the phone and found one that hadnt been messed with and got it for me. Best young hound of any breed ive had in fifteen years. Hard hunting easy starting gamey dog. Very independent. Correct him one time on off game and he dont mess with it anymore. Good manors around the house, not a barking idiot. I believe he could help the plott breed if more people would use him.

Not sure if all of Ratchet pups are independent and not afraid to get deep, but mine sure is. Gage keeps getting better and better. Been hunting him alone, dumped him last night and he got struck at 760 yds and treed at .79 miles with a big boar. He has no come back on him. Better turn loose in big country or thick coon because he goes until he gets struck. Will put you in new territory for sure. Alone or with company doesnt matter. Gonna have to put a come here on him one of these days though. If I had a nice female I would back her up to Ratchet for sure. I've seen on FB that Jeremy Taylor in Missouri has Ratchet now and has pups for sale. I don't know Jeremy but Lance Shockley will do you right, he did me.
