How Long?

How long have you let a dog sit up without being hunted? Does it have any effects on their ability or progression? I’m having a hard time right now between the cold and snow and my young dog has started some junk problems because of the lack of coons. I don’t want to create any more bad habits so I’m going to lay him up but I have never laid a young dog up for an extended period of time before.

You should be fine. We get shut down a couple months too I've never seen one go backwards in that time. Sometimes it's better then putting them in situations you know they re not going to succeed.
