Generation influence

I know its been talked about before. But im curious on y'alls opinion. How many generations back on a dogs bloodline truly come out, influence, and can be seen in a dog thanks

Many folks would be surprised how far back some of these traits come from. That goes for the good and bad traits alike. Some are easily seen like color other not so easy like ability.

I don’t notice it as much if I just hunt with my dogs or my buddy’s dogs because we hunt just about the same kind of traits but when I hunt with other people I really notice my dogs traits from 5 generations back that was why I bred to their ansesters to start with.

You can breed the traits in or you can breed them out. If you breed the traits out, then you won't see them. But if you breed them in for 5 generations, then you will see them.
