Finally got out and treed a coon with old Polly and Rabbit last night. Rabbit struck first and they pushed the track hard 832 yards and slammed treed on a hemlock. Seen the coon sitting at the top. Turned loose 3 times after that and never got a bark haha. it was 18 degrees and the Snow is still pretty deep in the woods but has a hard crust now that the dogs can run on. wish i could to haha makes for hard walking.

HAHA thats right, but Jake is also light enough to walk on top to haha so he didnt have to cry haha. Maybe i need to lay off the honey buns and i might be able to walk with out busting through to haha.

Polly won her cast Friday 2-28-2014 in an ACHA Silver Dollar Hunt. When the weather is bad and coon aren't moving good it is nice to have an old dog that knows how to get it done and not get in any trouble haha


And here is Rabbit from last week. I haven't been able to hunt her as much as I would have liked to du to the weather but she will be ready for the hunts this spring.


Jill with my son Nik in a bad snow storm about a month ago


Old Polly 11 years old and still getting it done. some nights she acts like a 4 year old and others its like she is senile but she has been a great dog and we will continue to hunt her as long as she is willing to go

We will be hunting in another ACHA hunt on March 7 and then going to a UKC English Sectional in Blairsville PA on Saturday. Not sure what im gonna hunt yet we will have to see how much were able to get out this week and see which dog looks the best haha.

I think i am gonna hunt old Polly in a UKC English sectional this saturday. She is old but i feel she deserves a chance and i know she may be slower than she used to be but she is steady and doesnt make mistakes. Joe is gonna hunt Drum. Maybe with any luck we can pull out King and Queen of Hunt haha.

We had a very bad hunt last night. first drop of the evening Andy's young dog Razor fell through the ice on the river. we tryed to get him out but by the time we found him he was weak from the cold water and the current pulled him under the ice. We never did find him. I feel horrible for Andy and wish there was something more we could have done but ice is very dangerous and the same thing could have easily happened to one of us.

Dang Ed, I hate that for ya'll. Buddy and I are headed to VA this morning going hunt Rebel a couple nights and drop a pup off at a trainers. My Brothers pup off Rock (Hobo) is still treeing coons, whenever weather breaks long enough for him to go. He is a nice one Ed. Take it easy Ed

Thanks Andy and Bryan, she didnt dominate the cast like she may have when she was younger but she did exactly what i hoped she would do and that was tree coon and not get in any trouble haha. Age has slowed her down a bunch but she dont make mistakes so where she may not be a dominater of a cast she still has enough in the tank to win haha.
