Papers Questions

Hey guys I had a B&T given to me by a guy. it was his buddys dog. his buddy was sent to prison for a long time and told him to just give him away cause he was starving to death. I wasn't expecting much when I got him but has blew my mind and turned into a sure enough coon dog. problem is the dude in prison don't know where his papers are.... I have no clue what hes out of. I heard I could have him D.N.A. tested through U.K.C. and they could get me a set of papers for him. is this accurate or total B.S.... All comments and suggestions would be appreciated

I'm sure 99.9% Ukc is going to want a signature from the owner.

If the dog was registered with us, then the registered owner would need to sign the papers over to you. If they have lost the papers, they can get another set of papers by filling out one of our duplicate applications, which can be downloaded from our website. If the dog was not registered with us, then you can attempt to register the dog with us by going through the Black & Tan Coonhound Association.
