I have thought it out and will make this cross. If enough interest.
Both dogs are mine....the male is tough coon dog...one of the best and bred the best....the gyp I bought and came from Illinois's...joeseph rhoads...she is smaller built female with a good mouth..

Jim, good cross!!! I know Whitey will do his part on passing the reproducing genetics. Anyone need references on Whitey call me I owned him when he was younger and hunted him in some of the roughest country there is. He was a good solid hound any nite I cut him loose.. This should be a good cross for sure.

Whitey is a COONDOG any wher he is dumped. He was trained here in Oklahoma in some sure enuff tough hunting. He was a complete natural! He is a coon treer and does not care what the other dogs are doing at all.. He should throw coondogs out of a poodle and has that
Old True Clover Dog Look.

Frank Hummel owned him here in n.w. pa. I had the pleasure of spending many nights in the woods with him hunting him for frank. I sold the nt.ch. rhodes' super chic dog to jim because I really had high hopes of doing an artificial insemination breeding to ben but Frank says he lost all of the semen stored out of ben when the facility had a power outage... What a shame...Pat

Well fellas I can't wait for this cross to happen either. Frank Hummel entrusted me with what semen he had left off of OL' Ben, several yrs ago. I had all intentions on using the semen on one of my Line bred Brookshier females that has Wessels wild Casey up close in her 3'gen pedigree this fall..Well to make a long Story short My Buddy Roger Wilson calls me and Tells me a mutual friend of ours Ed Casper would like to breed his outstanding female Wild Pine Julie to the Ben semen i have. Knowing the impact that Heavy line breeding has on a family of dogs, this defiantly would be the better cross for locking in all the old traits. Ed Casper calls me and Tells me all about Wild Pine Julie. Hunting style, mouth, track speed, and unbaleavable heart & Desire. What better female is there to use this Ben semen on..There isn't one!!!! A partnership was made..Thank You to everyone involved. God Bless and Good Hunting to All.
