GARMIN-This Happened to me-Explanations welcome
Last night while hunting the strangest thing happened of which I will try to explain. About 3-4 months ago I sold my DC-50 collar to my Nephew. I removed this collar from my Alpha after doing so. Last night we were hunting together. His 320 told him a collar was interfering with his handheld and asked if he wanted to change his tracking code. He hit NO and when he did this, his handheld quit tracking his DC-50 collar. It was still listed in his 320 but it showed that the collar had lost all communication with his hand held.
About 1/2 hour later after the dogs had treed we went back to the truck and drove closer before going in to the tree. When we got closer, maybe 175 yards from the tree, I checked my Alpha to make sure we were at the closest point before going in to the tree, and low and behold, I can see two dogs, on my screen at the tree. These dogs are labeled Lizzie and dog 1. Now Lizzie is my dog and the only dog I have loose, But I am seeing two dogs on this screen at my tree. I double checked to be sure I had deleted that DC-50 collar out of my system but yet there was this second dog showing up on my Alpha. Any explanations from anybody who may have ever had this happen to them would certainly be appreciated. After My Nephew, removed this collar from his hand held and then re-entered it, I could no longer see it on my screen. Crazy but TRUE HUMMM !!!!
