Dogs eyes keep swelling shut

Have been to the vet a few times keep getting little tubes of medicine and allergy shots but this keeps happening randomly! Her eyes swell shut and green yellow mucus looking junk will come out of them I try and wipe it all out and put in the medicine but need to figure out what is causing it! I have not switched up foods or bedding or anything like that

My bet would be a reoccurring bacterial infection. She will need to be put on antibiotics and not steroids along with antibiotic ointment or drops. Penicillin can be used as eye drops too if you wish to avoid another trip to the vet.
Also, flush them well with eye wash or running water to clean away goop and remove any foreign body that may be present sometimes seeds or debris can get between the 3rd eyelid and cause issues. If you do find anything it can be removed with a cotton swab dipped in vaseline.

The Redneck Feller is right on point I would bet.. If your current vet saw these symptoms and treated your dog and did not do a screen I'd be changing vets.. My .02 worth...

We are going to try the vet again today. About the time all this was coming on she has really been acting funny she will run tracks and wil not tree seems like she just leaves and goes to different track or comes back! That’s is not like this dog at all. I will have a health screen done but is there anything in particular we should be looking for? Besides a different vet

Lymes and Earlichia are the ones I’d be asking for.
