Question for Treeing Walker Ass

Has the ass ever considered 2 puppy class's for the pup hunt such as 1 class 12 months and younger and other 12 to 24 months? Top 2 pups from each class have a hunt off for final winner at the end of night

I'm hunting a 9 month old that is looking good in thin coons kinda excited to see what she can do in thick coons

I wouldn't go against a 23 month old dog with an eleven month old puppy , but I'm from a line of folks that think a coon hound shouldn't be a well started coonhound ''puppy '' at two years old it should be a plum worn out dawg . but I have seen a few yearlings put it on an older dog .

The Buddy dog that I have was in the final four in the pup derby at Walker Days when he was 11 months old. I had no part in that Archie Dore of Louisiana gets the credit for training and hunting him then the Feldermans of Iowa got him finished him to grand in short order and PKC champion. Should have a "Baby" and "Junior" title then an Overall Winner out of Baby and Junior Winner...
