Like many of you, last Saturday was a tough day to learn that Bill McFarland was on his way to the hospital with severe complications. At the time, there was little information as to what happened other than it was serious. Tougher yet, was when word came that he had passed.

There's so many good things to say about Bill but I'm still at a loss to say a whole lot other than our thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and the McFarland Family.

He was well respected and will be missed. Our condolences.

Bill was such a great man and I feel privileged to have met him and to have chatted with him at Nationals and the World Hunts. My thoughts and prayers are with Bill's family and friends. Wishing you peace in this difficult time.

I'm very sadden to hear this. I was just on a cast with him and we were catching up on old times. He never looked his age, so this was a very big shock ! My condolences to the family.

Very saddened to hear this news. It was an honor knowing Bill. I always looked forward to his smiling face and enjoyed our visits at the Beagle events over the years. Thoughts and prayers of comfort, strength and healing go out to his family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We enjoyed his company and knowledge. Always knew one thing, there wasn't going to be any funny business in the cast. He taught us more than any rulebook ever could. What a great guy. He will be missed. Hope we can all go with our boots on doing what we love to do.

Wow just seen this, I am sorry to hear this. Really a nice guy. He will be missed. I pulled Bill one time at a hunt in Ohio. Our hounds did great but we couldnt get a score. I can remember sitting there on a log with him talking hounds while the dogs ran, and watching for a line. I think we got caught up into talking hounds more than we did watching the dogs. lol

We are, truly, sadden by the news of Bills passing. We enjoyed a 40 year friendship, and our competition hunting between Lightening and Wild Joy was always the best hunt. Please know that Bill had our respect as well as our friendship. Lee and Regina Logan
