Hi Eric,

Hawk, as he is out of Crockets Black Nute which is out of Southern Gauge who was a brother to Ace. Also Batman comes from that same line.

Black River Buddy is out of the Whites line of dogs and I have found them to make excellent coon dogs and when I crossed our Boomer dog, who was out of Ace to a good female, they had tremendous drive and treeing ability.

Also dogs like Blaise Bauer's Big Top aligns well with Rex. Big Tops background goes back to similar lines that Rex came from or is from and when you align those ancestors you start getting some hard hitting hounds that are gone and treed.

There is a GRNTCH PA Sniper in Pittsburg, PA owned by Randy Tallon. He is out of GRNTCH PR Bauer's KS JR. JR was Hobo's Hoss x KS Jewell. Jewel was Rex's sister. Made GRNT by 17 months old. Sniper's mother was out of a GRNTCH male who's mother was out of ACE. I think her name was Hanna. That would be my suggestion it is close enough to drive in 4 to 5 hrs and a top hound.

David it's really according to what his female is lacking or what he is after in a hound. With his location I don't see him going wrong with taking her to see PA Sniper. JMO

Uglystick would be another good option from the East.

I bred her with this male I've hunted with him a couple time and liked what I saw he's a nice hound in my book and he suited my hunting style. My female is a nice little hound with a lot of go only thing I would add is more nose but it isn't bad now thanks for the advice these pups will be loaded with Rex

She didn't take when I bred her with Greg kimps jr dog "which I really like" then I bred her next time with lovis burns hurry up Dutch and they turned out really good got people asking to make the cross again
