Got off the couch and have been hunting quite a bit. Deal and Ralph are doing a bang up job. We are hunting some young dogs too.
The dogs have been pretty consistent and getting some fur down to them. Just plain Ole pleasure to hunt solid hounds every night.

Dennis, we need to go for a hunt in the near future. Although the weather looks like it is going to nasty for a week or two.

I'm hunting a young dog off of Deal and Wendy that is 11 months old , he shows some promise. Weather and tracking is tough on a young dog that is just getting started. He goes all the way, and that is saying something on some nights. Seems dogs are getting 3/4 or deeper to get one treed.
Ralph is back home to stay. Bought him back from Paul. I'm planning on him being my main dog to push this year. We will see if he has what his brother Deal has. LOL
Ralph has looked really good lately. He's been out 13 times and treed me 12 coon. And they weren't easy ones. He's hunting hard and fast which is what we like in a dog.

Darrin Pippin will be having pups out of his John II female crossed on Ralph in about a month.

She was out of NITECH Mad Dog Tarzan and Mad Dog Banging Blue Franny. Frannie was a littemate to GRNITECH Ante-Up Joker. A lot of good old Mad Dog blood up close. Hope this helps

Man everything has come to a halt around here with the weather getting so nasty.
Cows calving and they choose the worst weather to do it in. LOL
Ks hunting won't open till March 1st.

He looks a lot like his grandfather and the same tree style too.
I haven't been able to hunt this year due to back problems but going in the hospital Thursday to have surgery. The doctor feels like he can get me back on my feet and in the woods
I'm more then ready
Terry Payne's female had 8 pups out of Ralph. Excited to get a pup, Terry's female is really nice.

Here is a half brother to Horn that is 5 months old, Bubba and Misfire. He has just been out a few times and is starting to run and tree. We had a good one for minute last night! Tied Horn back and used CB's and got him to walk down, seen it and Spike went nuts, Spike has a loudmouth on him as well. Spike thought he had it LOL! Coon ran right back up a little treed right beside where they just treed, kept Horn back and let him tree and rolled it out dead this time. Could not ask for more for a 5 month old, JMO.
