Back in the early 70's I used to hunt with my brother in law and when we would get a warm spell in winter we'd cross the zumbro river on the ice. Anybody who lives around here knows that ain't smart. I blame it on youthful indescretion. After a week or so of warm weather we'd take a long pole with in case we broke through. Now, I don't even like it when the dog gets out on it. There's enough current if you break through you're done.
