If you’re talking about GRNITECH Montana Red Ranger, you’ll want to get ahold of Woody Brinson.

Rick, how do his offspring hunt/trail/tree? I got to hunt with Ranger once. He was a pretty nice all around dog.

Ranger

Oops, sorry about that. I can tell you about Woody and Tim and Jesse Brewin’s Piggy Female. They r both coondogs. Although Piggy has passed away. I’ve known Tim & Jesse to keep 2 dogs over all the years until death. Mahogany Mike & Piggy. As far as Woody goes and I do NOT want to come off like I’m bragging because any dog can be beat and will b beat but Woody is Big-Fast- and Loud. There’s the Buck dog that Allen had he was Super Tough or he wouldn’t have placed where he did at the UKC World. I’m just getting old Richard since I hit 50 a couple years back I’m falling apart eyesight hearing. I didn’t catch the info about the offspring and didn’t you handle Ranger in the Purina race a few years back.

I forgot about Miss Piggy myself. I got to hunt with her and she was a real nice Coonhound. It is a shame that she didn't produce a bunch of pups.

Ranger

I believe Laura Bell wrote an article on Ranger in the June 2011 special Redbone issue of Coonhound Bloodlines. even has a photo of Ranger with his owner Woody Brinson & a much younger Richard Lambert.
Find someone who has an issue of this & read a little about Ranger.

.Oh my goodness, my poor old brain is overtaxed thinking about Redbone Days. I left out possibly Ranger's top offspring.

But so did Mark. I hope that he isn't developing Oldtimers Desease.

Kate would just get split off by her self with a coon and would tend to get way out of the pocket in thin coon I just didn’t think any one else’s liked those kind 😁

Ranger

I've got a 10 year old nitech female Ranger x yellow river fiddle 2 . Best redbone I've ever owned . Put out good mouth several years ago and could work a cold track real nice triple chop locate and hard steady chop on tree . Not afraid of the dark hunts wide doesn't matter how much water there is . Took her last night she hunted hard her eye's are starting to glaze over and she don't hear very good but she hunted her heart out for me and treed . But the water was deep it took me 25 mins to get to her and she just run out of gas and couldn't tree anymore . She's earned her keep here and I'm retiring her . Just only wish I could of had one pup off her . I would pay good money for another Ranger offspring if I could find one and afford it .

Ranger was one of the nicest red dogs of his time. Ranger was as accurate as they maid. Not many dogs can score 950 plus here in our country an ranger did it with me handling him here in these rough sc swamps. ill never forget that night mr woody sent me an ranger to a hunt in marion sc an he went to the beach to a race. the race was canceled due to weather so he turn around an came back to the club I drew 2 walker dogs and a black dog. them dogs never went more than 2 min without getting treed I would not here a word outta ranger all of a sudden ranger would strike deeper an set down treed he had every coon that we went to score him on. he was a water dog for sure take water like it was nothing. Ranger took his tracks as they came. he would tree a lay up with one bark fall treed or he would run a track to catch, He was just a level headed talented dog no matter who handled him as several got to see when he run the purina race. Ranger helped me makes several redbone friends. I sure do miss the ole dog so glad to have semen off of him for when I decide an find the talented enough female to use it on
